- Locate utilities and respect the marks. Hand dig where the locate requires it.
- Decide the protective system with a competent person before anyone goes in.
- Use the calculator for bank cubic yards and loose yards after swell.
- If water, vibration, or previously disturbed soil shows up, stop and redo the plan.
